The fine art of shaping water | ![]() ![]() |
A spray of water does not equal a spray of water. If you have ever stood under a lime-clogged shower you know only too well: the spray either emerges in a trickle or goes in all directions. For over 30 years we have had experts at Hansgrohe occupying themselves exclusively with the way the spray of water comes out of a shower or a fitting. “We are scientists – spray scientists. We shape the liquid flow.” This is how Markus Wöhrle, head of the Hansgrohe Spray Lab, describes his work. Water is much more sophisticated than commonly assumed. In order to get shower heads and fittings to form the perfect spray, it takes a lot of know-how, specially developed testing methods for the spray and above all inventive talent, the joy of experimentation and a passion for water.
This long-standing know-how is the basis for all shower innovations emerging from the house of Hansgrohe. This also applies to the technology behind the Axor Starck ShowerCollection: the shower module of the Axor Starck ShowerCollection can not only be used to create a variety of head and ceiling showers, but it can also be adapted as a variable side, neck and shoulder shower, thanks to its ability to change the spray from horizontal to vertical. This too is the result of years of meticulous work by the spray scientists and a specialisation in showering matters.
The crowning of the Axor Starck ShowerCollection, the ShowerHeaven with its dimensions of almost one square meter, pampers with truly heavenly showering pleasure and unique showering comfort.
The perfected spray quality which turns showering with the Axor Starck ShowerCollection into a very special and intensive experience for all the senses is down to the Hansgrohe research laboratories. When showering you can choose between a rich laminar spray for a natural massage, a soft rain from voluminous, air-enriched drops of water and an impressive all-over body spray where the water softly rains down from more than 500 openings. Inside the shower head the Hansgrohe AirPower technology creates strands of water which are divided into soft, heavy drops – like a warm summer rain with a mixture of air bubbles and water. This invention from the Hansgrohe spray lab contributes to our being able to experience water emotionally and thus increase our awareness of its precious quality.
This is based on a true passion for the element of water. It also acknowledges the driving force in the search for new and continuously improved solutions. And the perfect shower spray.
