The internationally renowned designer and architect Antonio Citterio (with Toan Nguyen) and Axor already created the highly acclaimed Axor Citterio collection. Now the designer brand from Hansgrohe AG presents their most recent work: Axor Citterio M. “M stands for modernity, metropolis and, not least, for Milan, the home of Antonio Citterio,“ said Philippe Grohe, the head of the Axor brand. Indeed, it was the notion of ‘living in the city’, with its spaces designed for living, that inspired Antonio Citterio in his work: “People today are being drawn back to the city as an environment to live in. Life in the city is fast-moving and rich in its diversity. The space in itself is something of great value. As I was reflecting about life in the city and aspects like space, outlook and tranquility, I was already beginning to create the Axor Citterio M collection."
Desire for beauty
“It is especially when there is only limited space to work with, as is often the case in a metropolis," says Antonio Citterio, "that it becomes crucially important to shape this space using carefully crafted, valuable and beautiful things. Maybe this is why I have spent a considerable part of my working life dealing in absolute detail with objects that others may only think about in terms of their functionality.” This is also reflected in the Axor Citterio M collection. The objects in this collection are a perfect fit for a range of different bathroom designs and lifestyles. Whether in a spacious loft or a small apartment bathroom.

A look at the Axor Citterio M collection reveals the unmistakable signature and styling for which the designs from the Antonio Citterio’s Milan workshop are renowned: shapes that have been thought through and refined down to the tiniest detail, where gentle curves give way to clean and even surfaces in perfect harmony. The extraordinarily sleek shapes of the objects in this collection –cartridges with a smaller diameter – with their tapered spout and the diagonally offset handle underline the elegant and dynamic appearance of the products.
